All About Mining: 21st century mining for K-12 educators

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the CMA Education Foundation has decided to suspend the in-person classes and field trip components of this summer’s All About Mining course that were scheduled for June 18-26, 2020.

These are interesting times we live in now, even more so when contemplating putting the All About Mining class together for this summer. As restrictions are placed, reimagined, extended and so forth, it has become increasingly clear that we will be unable to offer our award-winning All About Mining class this summer. Instead, we will work with the Colorado School of Mines, Continuing and Professional Education Services to explore other learning opportunities we may be able to present in the near future.

For the next several months, we are going to focus on enhancing and upgrading our online lectures and educational videos.

Everyone is struggling to manage their lives whether it is their own, their spouses or their children’s, and it is taking a toll on normalcy. With this in mind, we at the CMAEF wish to send out our best thoughts and wishes for everyone affected by this pandemic.

There are many ways you can support our education efforts. There is the traditional way of sending a check or making a wire transfer and there is the simple use of choosing us as your charitable foundation when purchasing from Amazon. All you have to do is choose Colorado Mining Association Education Foundation as your charity when you log onto smile.amazon.com and shop as you would normally; Amazon will award us a small percentage of your purchase with no extra charge to you.

Stay safe everyone!
