All About Mining: End of summer update

As we pull into fall, the CMA Education Foundation has a chance to review our All About Mining course for educators and to make changes and updates. We have spent time and effort getting comments and suggestions from all of our teachers/students and we consider them seriously. With more than 25 hours of online course content and a seven-day summer itinerary, we strive to keep our content accurate and relevant, and to implement recommended changes.

It’s always gratifying to receive positive feedback, and we are very thankful that the comments teachers provide on their evaluations continue to be glowing.

Here’s a sample of comments from our 2019 AAM class participants:

“I learned more about mining, minerals and reclamation than I thought I would when I initially signed up.”

“The photos I took and information I learned will help me convey to my students the importance of the mining industry.”

“We were shown much more than I expected.”

“I now recognize how important minerals are for everyday products.”

“I am very happy to hear that today’s mining emphasizes safety and sustainable mining.”

We will be at the Colorado Science Conference on November 8at the Denver Merchandise Mart, so if you know a teacher who may be attending, let them know to drop by our booth.
