Education Foundation Update: March 2022

The Colorado Mining Association Education Foundation is happy to announce that our new two-day in-person workshop for K-12 teachers is scheduled for June 6–7, 2022, at the Colorado School of Mines. We will be providing classroom instruction, meals, site tours (transportation included), and supplies to all teachers enrolled in this workshop.

The workshop provides teachers with tools to explore mining-related curricula in earth sciences, math, technology, and engineering. They will learn how the modern mining industry is discovering and producing minerals, energy and a variety of other materials we need globally, while also working to protect the environment, communities and honor our responsibility to the earth.

PLEASE CONSIDER SPONSORING A TEACHER! We will have different sponsorship levels available, but the basic levels will be $500, $750, or $1,000. Not only will you have the opportunity highlight your company’s support, but you will also be supporting the education that these teachers will carry into their classrooms about the true benefits of mining.

Please contact us for more information about this worthy program and look for more details in the coming weeks!
