I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July holiday. At last, we are able to visit family and friends with confidence as vaccination rates in Colorado reach approximately 70%.
In the CMA office, I recently unpacked the 2020 CMA and Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety awards still to be formally presented in person. Now that it’s safer to travel throughout Colorado, it’s time to remove the bubble wrap protecting the awards (don’t worry, I kept the bubble wrap for delivery purposes) and deliver to the miners across Colorado who earned them.
We know member companies are eager to add awards to those awards cases that I see at every mine. We’re disappointed that for two years in a row we couldn’t present the awards as we have for many years at the annual conference, but I have a feeling delivering the awards to the mines might be an experience worth waiting for during this pandemic.
We’ll keep the membership posted on these celebrations as we deliver the awards.
