Stone v High Mountain Mining Company
CMA and Colorado Stone Sand and Gravel Association filed an Amicus Curiae brief in Stone v High Mountain Mining Company which was appealed from to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in February. The brief was prepared by Gabe Racz and Justine Beckstrom from Vranesh and Raisch.
In Stone v. High Mountain Mining, the District Court issued a Finding of Fact that we argue in the brief contradicts state law, which explicitly exempts groundwater discharges at mining sites from discharge permitting by the Colorado Water Quality Control Division.
