DRMS Update

  • Ginny Brannon reported that over 300 fraudulent Unemployment Insurance claims were filed affecting the Division.
  • Russ Means discussed e-permitting for the reporting of compliance issues.
  • Russ stated that the Division is considering comments received from stakeholders covering the Hardrock rulemaking effort. The Division anticipates having another draft of the proposed rules on May 1.
  • Ginny reported on the status of MLRB Board appointments.

Dredge and Fill: Dianna Orf and others discussed the ongoing development of legislation authorizing a Colorado Dredge and Fill program. Members discussed the potential for the enactment of a narrower bill. CMA participates in the Water Congress State Affairs Committee which has been developing ideas many entities can agree to.

Air Quality Enterprise: Howard Gebhart updated the Committee about the work of the Air Quality Enterprise which is beginning the work of adopting fees. Stan Dempsey can provide a list of potential fees companies can expect.

Legislative Update: Dianna Orf provided a legislative report focusing on proposed legislative changes to Colorado employment law in Senate Bill 176.
