DRMS Update:
Ginny Brannon and Russ Means reported on activities at the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety as the Division staff is beginning to return the office. Russ emphasized that operators could begin meeting staff in the office. Russ also said that the Hardrock rulemaking will continue to be delayed until the Division can release a new draft and when potential new MLRB Board members are appointed and trained.
Legislative Update:
Dianna provided a legislative update describing legislation passed late in the legislative session covering climate change, air quality and labor issues. CMA is pleased the legislature declined to pass legislation creating a new “Dredge and Fill” permitting program.
